Can"t recall off the top of my head, but one of the MJ documentaries talks about how the Bulls all felt they were spent after Game 5 because of how relentless the Jazz were and after the Bulls played so many more games before the finals. They weren"t sure they could end the series. Then MJ took over. Could have been for the sake of drama, but it was worth noting.

I"m not saying the refs shouldn"t be criticised, but man it"s such an ungrateful job to have. I"ve never reffed at a high level and I think it"s still one of the most stressful experiences I"ve had. No matter what choice you make people are just angry at you at multiple times throughout the game.

My first job was reffing kids soccer games in Albuquerque. Soccer is big there. I had to kick many parents off of the ABQ parks and rec fields and have them finish watching the game from their car. Was always odd being 15 and having to tell a 30 year old to calm down or go sit in their car.
